After the ceremony, we joined our guests just steps outside the chapel doors on a beautiful tree-lined lawn for our reception. Lights were strung between the trees, and long tables beckoned our guests to dine together as a new family. I gave a short speech thanking our loved ones, and ended by saying thank you to my new husband - then proceeded to play the ukelele and sing to him (surprise! I learned to play "The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson in two weeks). It was such a blessing to give him this special, simple gift. We dined, we danced, we got very drunk, and our hearts have never been so filled with joy.
