In the past few years, I've been working to pair down my closet to necessities with a few fun pieces (see this post) but I still struggle with the dilemma of "a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear". I'm definitely working away from excess in everything in my life - what I eat, own, wear, decorate with - and the closet can be a tough place. Enter un-fancy.
Un-Fancy is a blog created by sweet Caroline Joy, whom I've mentioned on the blog before. In her efforts towards a more minimalist lifestyle, she began using with the brilliant concept of a "capsule wardrobe" - 37 pieces for each season. And now she's sharing her journey online! It just went up on Friday, and I've had such a fun time browsing around. Caroline writes in a way that makes you feel like you're instantly friends, and her smile in infectious. I'm so excited to follow along and be inspired! I'm already thinking through how my wardrobe is similar and dissimilar to hers, and how I can adapt what she's shared to my closet. Great stuff, ladies!
I especially love the heart behind this project. Caroline shares that "A capsule wardrobe represents more time + more money + more energy for the things in life that really matter." Preach!
So, go check out her site, and while you're at it, you can check out her photography site and blog as well. Love this girl and her heart! I'm certain this will inspire you to thoughtfully look through your closet and see some areas where you can let loose. Love y'all!
