When it was time to design invitations for Chris's graduation party, I felt inspired to design something celebratory that honored the hard work Chris has put forth over the past three years. Chris is a fairly casual guy, but he loves good type (a man after my own heart). The end result balanced sophisticated type and light-hearted details.
I incorporated the school colors – which were also a great nod to our country's colors, as Chris will be working in the judicial system upon graduation! I also had fun recreating the school logo. I broke it up and gave it a little more breathing room, which also made it feel more casual. I also called friends to "raise a glass" with us as we would be honoring not only Chris at this party, but also his hard-working friends who would also be graduating that day with him. Cheers, all around!
The overall design look is balanced and utilized circles and lines to maintain the structure in an eye-catching style. I finished off the design with a kraft envelope and a celebratory red gingham liner (plus a liberty bell stamp for good measure). We had such a great time celebrating Chris, and I loved having the opportunity to design something special just for him!
